The school is managed by a Board of Management (BOM). The overall responsibility for the day-to-day activities of the school devolves on the Principal.

The Board of Management is made up of the following:

* Two direct nominee of the Patron, The Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary Services.
* Two parents of children enrolled in the school (one being a mother, the other a father) elected by the general body of parents o
f the children enrolled in the school.
* The principal teacher of the school.
* One other teacher on the staff of the school elected by the teaching staff.
* Two extra members from the community.

Enrolment Policy

The Board of Management requires that all pupils for enrolment be assessed and come within the criteria of severe and profound range of general learning disabilities.
In the event of the number of children seeking enrolment in any given class exceeding the number of places available preceding or during the school year (due to the Board of Management being unable to provide suitable accommodation or recruit the required teaching staff) the following criteria will be used to prioritise children for enrolment:

The Board of Management will offer places based on the school’s ability to provide the best possible service to those offered.

Offers will be made following full discussions with parents, the school’s professional team, the Board of Management, Special Educational Needs Officers and the Inspectorate of the Department of Education and Science.
Section 29 Appeal: A decision not to have a child enrolled may be appealed by the child’s parents/guardians, under the Section 29 Appeal Procedure.
